Job Opening - Operator in the Public Works Department

The City of Whitehall is accepting applications from qualified applicants to fill a full-time vacancy for the position of:  Operator in the Public Works Department.

Position duties include performing routine maintenance activities for all city facilities, equipment and streets.  In general, work as needed and directed to keep all municipal functions operating.  Normal work hours are Monday through Friday with a rotating on-call schedule for evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate must hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license; and be able to pass a pre-employment physical and alcohol/drug testing.

This position requires obtaining and maintaining a commercial driver’s license within 6 months of hire.

Obtaining DNR Operator Certifications for both water and sewer and a Certified Pool Operator Certification after employment is also required to maintain employment.
